Swaru

Terms of service

Last updated 1 November 2026

These terms cover your use of Swaru, provided by Joseph Lines, a sole trader ("we", "us"). By creating an account or paying for a plan you agree to them.

The service

Swaru gives your business an AI help chat for your website, an inbox for your support email and chat hand-offs, and the tools around them, as described on this site.

Your account

You are responsible for the people you add to your team and for what they do with the service. Keep your sign-in email secure; tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

Plans and payment

Plans are billed monthly in advance and renew until cancelled. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record: they take the payment, handle sales tax and VAT, and issue your invoices and receipts. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow our refund policy.

If we change a plan's price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.

Your content

Your documentation, conversations and customer messages stay yours. You give us permission to process them only to run the service for you. You are responsible for having the right to give us that content and for telling your customers about the chat where the law asks you to.

AI answers

Answers are written by an AI from your documentation. They can be wrong or incomplete. The chat links to the pages it used and hands questions to your team when your docs don't cover them, but you are responsible for the answers your business gives.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to send spam or unsolicited email, to deceive people (for example by pretending to be another business), to break the law, or to attack or overload the service. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability

We work to keep the service running and your data safe, but during the beta we offer no service-level guarantee. We may change or improve features; we will tell you before removing one you rely on.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending

You can stop using the service and cancel at any time, and close your account on its Plan page. We may end the service for you with 30 days' notice, or at once if you seriously break these terms. An account is also closed when its plan ends, or when it never takes one within 30 days of signing up. Once closed, you can still download your data (or ask us for a copy) and reopen it for 30 days; then we delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will tell you about important changes before they apply. Questions: hello@getswaru.com.
